Galaxus

Galaxus is a brand of Digitec Galaxus AG, the largest online retailer in Switzerland based in Zurich. Since 2023, the company has offered telecommunications services and has gradually expanded its offering to include Mobile, Internet, and TV. Galaxus positions itself as an affordable alternative without minimum contract durations and relies on a transparent pricing model with no hidden costs.

Galaxus uses the Sunrise cable network (formerly UPC) and fiber optic connections from various providers for its internet subscriptions. The two cheaper plans run on HFC technology (Hybrid Fiber Coax), while the fastest offering uses pure FTTH fiber. For Mobile, Galaxus also uses the Sunrise network with 4G and 5G.

Galaxus offers three internet plans: 200 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s via cable network and 10 Gbit/s via fiber optic. All plans have no minimum contract and can be cancelled for the end of the following month. A WLAN router with WiFi 6 is provided free of charge on loan. The activation fee is a uniform CHF 79.

Galaxus TV is based on Zattoo technology and includes 282 channels with 7-day Replay, live pause, and 1,000 cloud recordings for CHF 11 per month. The subscription works via the Galaxus TV app and is usable independently of the internet provider. No TV box is required. Paid add-on options such as ad skipping, more recordings, or additional streams are available.

Galaxus offers three mobile plans via the Sunrise network, all with 5G, VoLTE, and WiFi Calling. The cheapest plan starts at CHF 12 with 3 GB data, the mid-tier offers unlimited data in Switzerland and 3 GB EU roaming, the top tier adds 20 GB roaming in the EU and USA. All plans have no minimum contract and support eSIM.
