How we choose

Each use case has its own criteria and ranking. The same three rules apply to all of them.

  1. By use case

    First what the plan is for – family, gaming, travel, TV –, then the overall score or average price over 24 months within that selection.

  2. Satisfaction counts

    We only recommend plans whose customers are at least close to the market average in satisfaction. When plans are practically equal – at most 3 points or CHF 1 apart – we show a partner’s plan.

  3. The catch

    Shown with every recommendation where the data reveals one: price after the promo, upload, voucher, fees, term or roaming.

What the advertised price leaves out

Every price in the comparison is also shown as an average over 24 months. These items are included – the figures show how many of the listed plans are affected.

    Price after the promotion

    14 internet plans have a time-limited promo price. Afterwards the price rises by CHF 24.96 per month on average – we count those months at the higher price.

  • 116

    Activation fee

    116 plans charge a one-off fee between CHF 39.00 and CHF 222.00. We spread it across the monthly average.

    Vouchers

    A voucher is listed for 5 plans. We deduct the amount in the first year and show the code with the plan.

  • 106

    Minimum term

    106 plans tie you in for 12 months or more, 73 can be cancelled monthly. The term counts towards the terms part of the score.

    TV only with internet

    20 TV plans are only available together with an internet plan from the same provider. We compare them separately from standalone TV plans.

    All items added up and divided by 24 – so every plan can be compared side by side.

How are the recommendations made?

For each use case – such as families and home office, frequent travellers or TV without switching provider – we filter the matching plans and rank them by overall score or average price over 24 months. We only recommend plans whose customer satisfaction is at least close to the market average, and at most two per provider. If two plans are practically level (at most 3 points or CHF 1 apart), we show a partner’s plan. Every statement on the cards is calculated from the same figures.

What does “avg. per month over 24 months” mean?

We add up the monthly prices of the first 24 months – including the price after the promotion and router rental –, add the activation fee, subtract any voucher and divide by 24.

Why do you calculate over 24 months?

A single period makes plans with different promotions and one-off fees comparable. Otherwise an activation fee is spread over different periods and the comparison shifts.

How do customer reviews count?

Satisfaction makes up 30 % of the overall score. It is based on Google and Trustpilot reviews, weighted by count. Providers with few reviews are moved closer to the market average.

Where do the figures on this page come from?

All figures are calculated from the plans currently in our database: 180 plans from 22 providers; data last updated October 10, 2026.
